Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Technical Writer:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, process flows, and training materials.
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and ensure material accuracy.
- Edit, proofread, and standardize documentation to meet program templates and state standards.
- Support the creation of stakeholder communication materials and presentations.
Required Skills for Technical Writer:
- 5-8 years of professional experience in technical writing.
- Proven ability to produce clear and accurate technical content.
- Experience with large-scale IT, government, or consulting projects, with a preference for public sector experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with tools like Visio, SharePoint, or Adobe Acrobat is advantageous.
- Strong collaboration, interviewing, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
