IDR is seeking a Page Performance Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role focuses on optimizing frontend website performance to enhance user experience and drive eCommerce revenue. The company operates within the digital and eCommerce industry, emphasizing speed and customer journeys to improve business outcomes.
Position Overview for the Page Performance Engineer:
- Analyze and improve website performance using Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS).
- Investigate rendering, JavaScript, network, caching, image, and browser performance issues.
- Perform audits using Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, WebPageTest, PageSpeed Insights, CrUX, and RUM tools.
- Partner with React.js and Next.js teams to optimize rendering, bundle size, code splitting, caching, and asset delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed performance best practices into the development lifecycle.
Requirements for the Page Performance Engineer:
- 8+ years of frontend engineering experience with 3+ years dedicated to web performance optimization.
- Expertise in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TS, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong understanding of browser rendering, Core Web Vitals, networking, caching, CDN, and HTTP protocols.
- Experience with Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools, WebPageTest, PageSpeed Insights, CrUX, RUM, mPulse, or Dynatrace.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
