Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Medical Staff Coordinator:

• Serve as an independent contributor within the Medical Staff Office, ensuring timely and compliant credentialing, privileging, and reappointments for providers and allied health professionals.

• Coordinate and support multiple committees by preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-ups, ensuring alignment with Medical Staff Bylaws and regulatory standards.

• Maintain and update credentialing systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality, while supporting special projects and providing limited CME administrative backup as needed.

• Collaborate with medical staff leaders, providers, and various departments to meet timelines and uphold standards.

Required Skills for Medical Staff Coordinator:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of relevant experience in medical staff services or provider credentialing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR environments, with experience in Echo, Cactus, or similar credentialing databases.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines independently.

• Clear and professional communication skills, with experience in supporting committee meetings and action tracking.

• CPCS or CPMSM certification is required, and familiarity with Epic and Sutter workflows is a plus.
