IDR is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in El Segundo, California. This role is pivotal in supporting the efficiency and strategic execution of the Legal Department within a growing enterprise environment. The company operates in the legal services industry and focuses on streamlining legal workflows and technology implementations to enhance overall performance.
Position Overview for the Legal Operations Manager:
- Manage, execute, and strategize legal operations projects and initiatives, including process improvements and technology implementations that are cross-functional in nature
- Support attorneys and Legal leadership with project planning, milestone tracking, timelines, and execution related to Legal's strategic initiatives
- Manage and optimize legal tools and systems such as matter management, contract lifecycle management, and e-billing
- Support the development and maintenance of metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting to improve business visibility into Legal's workload, performance, and priorities
- Coordinate training for Legal team members and business partners on systems, tools, and processes as needed
Requirements for the Legal Operations Manager:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Legal Operations, Legal Strategy, Management Consulting, or related disciplines
- Ability to maintain productive working relationships and treat fellow employees with respect
- Demonstrated success implementing legal operations frameworks at scale in a corporate, tech, or global environment
- Strong understanding of legal workflows such as litigation, corporate, compliance, regulatory, and contracts
- Excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical stakeholders
