IDR is seeking a Engineering Project Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Mount Clemens, Michigan. This role is within the manufacturing industry, focusing on managing projects related to new product development, process improvements, and cost reduction initiatives. Position Overview for the Engineering Project Manager:
- Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, and controlling projects associated with new product development, industrialization, and cost reduction.
- Manages small to medium complexity and risk level projects to ensure quality, timing, and cost targets are met.
- Leads cross-functional teams and interfaces with all internal departments involved in projects to ensure timely progress.
- Coordinates with customers to align project deliverables with their requirements.
- Promotes standards and best practices in project management across the global community and shares knowledge to improve internal processes.
Requirements for the Engineering Project Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical) required.
- Strong manufacturing process background.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in leading initiatives.
- Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Effective oral and written communication skills including presentation creation.
