IDR is seeking a Desktop Engineering & Application Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Nashville, TN. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in enterprise desktop engineering, application packaging, and large-scale deployment within a global organization. Position Overview for the Desktop Engineering & Application Specialist:
- Responsible for packaging, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications across a global organization.
- Develop, test, and execute deployment plans using MSI and application virtualization tools.
- Manage remote deployments via systems management platforms following standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues, support production environments, and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with international teams and communicate proactively regarding project risks and issues.
Requirements for the Desktop Engineering & Application Specialist:
- 2–5+ years of hands-on experience in desktop engineering, application packaging, and remote deployment.
- Proficiency with SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and deployment monitoring tools.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMWare) and monitoring utilities (Process Monitor, Registry Monitor, File Monitor).
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and logical thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
